Vietnam Veterans Memorial Replica Arrives in Manchester

One of the country’s most well-known veterans’ memorials, or at least a replica of it, arrived in Connecticut on Wednesday.

Volunteers worked to honor veterans at Center Memorial Park in Manchester and assembled a 250-foot long replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

“I’m very appreciative of my freedom. So, I’m here paying my respects,” Chris Leber, of Manchester, said.

It took more than a year of planning to bring the moving memorial to the state.

The exhibit, called The Wall That Heals, travels around the country and has already stopped at 400 communities since its debut.
