Comcast Employee Stabbed in Work Parking Lot

A Comcast worker is recovering from serious stab wounds to his neck after being attacked on the job on Thursday afternoon.

Fellow employees called police to the Comcast service center at 44 North Branford Road in Branford after they saw a man lying motionless in the fenced-off parking lot.

Police arrived on scene at around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday and found 42-year-old Douglas Magee, of Guilford, with wounds to his neck.

The supervisor, and long time employee, was rushed to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery.

Doctors told police that Magee's wounds were from a stabbing. They also said that he was going to survive the attack and recover.

Police interviewed another Comcast employee on Friday morning and said he is no longer a person of interest.

They are looking for anyone with information that will help in the investigation.

"Any time that you have some sort of incident like this, especially when it occurs to someone you know, it certainly shakes up the other employees," explained Lt. Morgan.
