Danielle Brooks on Visiting Rikers Island

Harry: “You recently visited Rikers Island. What was that like? Danielle: “Oh yes, I did. I went out there to meet with some of the inmates. They were reading the book ‘Americana’ and I was reading an excerpt from it. Just going in there, it’s an island. It truly is an island for inmates and you go and there are all these different sections and I’m asking all these questions like, ‘Whose there?
