Barbara and Jenna on Growing Up in the White House
Harry: “It seems like you easily adapted to it right?”
Jenna: “I adapted to it more easily. I think when we were in college there were awkward moments for both of us because we really had this extraordinary life in some ways but this very normal life. We lived in Midland, Texas. We spent much more time with our maternal grandparents, our grandpa, our mom’s dad was a homebuilder and people will say to us, ‘Y’all are so normal.’”
Barbara: “We think that’s a compliment?”
Jenna: “Yeah, it’s a compliment. Yes, we were used to it but there are parts you can never get used to.”
