Henry Winkler on People's Reaction to ‘The Fonz'
Harry: “Are you aware that you are sort of bigger than life to a lot of people? Have you gotten used to the fact that people probably come up to you are, are speechless?”
Henry: “People are unbelievably warm to me and some people come to me from another country and say, ‘When I came here, I had no friends and I learned to speak English because of your show.’ That is amazing! We went to the Hopi Nation with my oldest son because he was studying Native Americans and it’s against the law to take a picture of the Hopi. They think you’re taking their soul and I was invited because ‘The Fonz’ was respectful to Native Americans on one episode. I was able to, they said, ’Go get your camera and you can take a picture.’ What an honor.”
