New Song Was Inspired By Local Woman

Alyssa Mushin, a Connecticut woman who was born with a rare condition called Canavan disease, is the inspiration for a song called “Alyssa.” Doctors gave her three to five years to live and she defied the odds. She lived to the age of 23.
