Monday Evening Weather Blog

We had a few sprinkles early this morning, but the clouds and a few showers gave way to plenty of sun this afternoon and temps warmed into the mid 60s.

Tonight temps will fall back to the low 40s across the state.

Tuesday temperatures will return to the low 60s with lighter winds in the afternoon.

Our next storm will approach Wednesday Night and Thursday. A period of rain is almost a certainty with a chance for some downpours or locally heavy areas of rain. We need it!

Something worth noting is that there are models that bring the chance of wet snow in the higher terrain of the northeast. We wouldn't be surprised to see our first flakes of the season later this week.

Rainfall amounts of 0.5" to 1.0" are expected across Connecticut. This won't be enough to erase the drought but every little bit helps.

Cooler and somewhat cloudy weather will linger beyond the storm for Friday and Saturday.
