It will not feel like late December tonight, as temperatures rise overnight through the 40's and the 50's with a warm southerly wind. The wind will bring temperatures that are about 20 to even 30 degrees warmer-than-average for this time of the year.
Rain will move through the state overnight, some of it heavy at times. The rain will be most likely between midnight and noon on Monday.

Heavy rain will be likely for the Monday morning commute. The storm system will also bring wind gusts up to 25 miles per hour through early Monday, making the morning drive a little difficult.
Temperatures will remain mild through the new year with another rain chance Tuesday into Wednesday. If you're going out New Year's Eve, grab the rain gear! It won't be terribly cold, but it will be damp.
