People in parts of Connecticut woke up to some April snow Friday morning.
The snow caused some problems on highways in northeastern Connecticut and the snow brought down trees and limbs in some towns.
By Friday afternoon, the snow was tapering off as the nor'easter began to pull away.

Earlier in the day, Union schools said they would delay opening by two hours Friday morning, but then decided to switch to a remote learning day.
The snow created a pretty scene, but not everyone is welcoming the snow, especially after some warm days.
“This is ridiculous! It’s April. We shouldn’t have snow. It should be nice out,” Randy Smith, of Winsted, said.
Aubrey English, of Winsted, was grateful not to have to use the snowblower or a shovel.
Snow was a welcome surprise for Ralph Stanizzi, who grew up in Connecticut and is up from Cape Canaveral, Florida to visit family.
“We have had snow before. One time around the second week of April we had about eight inches. It’s fun. It’s nice to see now and then. It’s a good fertilizer, poor man’s fertilizer,” he said.
The storm is expected to pull away midday Friday. Temperatures will be well below normal, in the 40s. Any snow that has fallen will quickly melt away throughout the day.
