An Alberta Clipper system brought several inches of snow to parts of Connecticut on Thursday morning, lesser amounts in other areas, and there were lots of school delays as well as some closings.
Snow started around 7 p.m. Wednesday and continues through much of the morning before dwindling down.
Some elevated areas of northern Connecticut have received four, five six, even up to eight, inches of snow before the compacting.

- Bakersville: 5.8 inches
- Bridgewater: 5 inches
- Lisbon: 5.5 inches
- New Fairfield: 3.2 inches
- Roxbury: 5 inches
- Seymour: 4 inches
- Tolland: 7 inches
- Wolcott: 8 inches
The snow led to some slick spots and there were some school delays and closings. You can see a full list here.
There are also several power outages.
Eversource is reporting more than 15,000 power outages and most are in Stafford and Mansfield.
It will be very windy later Thursday and Friday with gusts over 40 miles per hour and a few isolated power outages are possible.
