A weekend full of sunshine ahead

Saturday Weather Blog

We woke up to a few sprinkles this morning but the rest of the day is expected to be spectacular. Clouds will clear as drier air filters in sunshine and warm temperatures are expected by afternoon.

It will be a cool evening with temperatures falling back into the low to mid 40s across the state.

Sunday looks like a beautiful day with highs seasonal in the low 70s and plenty of sun.

Showers are expected Monday morning as a cold front moves through.

Behind the front temperatures will drop with low 60s in the afternoon and the potential for morning temps in the 30s for some towns later in the week!

Here is how October looks in terms of averages.

Watching The Tropics

States along the Gulf of Mexico will be keeping an eye on "Milton", the newly formed tropical storm.

The latest forecast has the system making landfall in western Florida by the middle of next week, possibly as a major, category 3 hurricane.

Either way, South Florida will likely see a good bit of rainfall by the next of next week.

Here is an update on hurricane season names.

We also have Hurricane Kirk in the Central Atlantic and Leslie behind it. Kirk will continue moving east and could impact Western Europe by the end of next week as a Post-Tropical Storm.

Hurricane Leslie is expected to move into the Central Atlantic.

None of these storms will have an impact for us here in New England.
