After a pleasant Friday some light rain and freezing rain is expected Saturday morning. Especially around daybreak temperatures will be cold enough in many towns to produce a bit of light icing on untreated surface.

A light glaze of ice is possible through Saturday morning, which is not enough to knock out power lines or anything like that, but it is enough to create slick spots on the ground.
If you're planning to leave Saturday morning for the Wasabi Fenway Bowl, there is a potential for a light glaze of ice through most of Connecticut and Massachusetts. Boston itself will likely just see scattered rain showers through the game.
More showers are expected Sunday morning and Monday morning along with warming temperatures to close out 2024.
