Flash Flood Warnings in Effect as Storms Pass Through the State

A flash flood warning remains in effect for parts of the state as severe storms roll through.

The warning is impacting parts of Litchfield County through 1:45 a.m. on Sunday. Warnings were previously in place for Windham and Tolland but recently expired.

A severe thunderstorm warning was in effect for Litchfield County but has since expired.

A bridge in Ashford has collapsed because of the severe storms that passed through the state. It is unclear if anyone was hurt at this time.

The storm is producing a lot of lighting and small hail is possible. Significant wind damage is possible with this storm system.

Severe thunderstorm warnings for several parts of the state were issued this afternoon and have since expired. Watches still remain in effect for Fairfield, Hartford, Litchfield, Middlesex, New Haven and Tolland counties through 11 p.m.

Severe storms moved through Connecticut Saturday afternoon, causing flooding and storm damage throughout parts of the state.
