Finally, rain!

Periods of rain will continue overnight as a storm moves overhead. As colder air wraps into the system the rain may change to a period of wet snow along the New York border after midnight.

Some minor accumulation is possible along the Route 7 corridor and points west into New York State. A slushy inch or two may accumulate in parts of far western Connecticut with some slippery roads by daybreak Friday.

Leftover showers will continue off and on during the day Friday. Gusty winds can be expected over the weekend with gradual clearing.
