We're number 1! This is not a record to be proud of -- the driest two-month period ever recorded in the Hartford area. Only 1.17" since Sept. 1. Unreal.

The story for Halloween will be record warmth. We're forecasting mid-70s at the shore and low-80s inland. which would make Halloween 2024 the warmest on record.

Sunshine will mix with mid-and high-level cloudiness and a southwest breeze will help the temps soar. The record to beat is 82° in Hartford, that record was set back in 1946. The shoreline record will also likely fall today, the previous record of 75° was set in 2004.

For the trick-or-treaters temperatures will be in the 70s across most of Connecticut.

Tomorrow the wind will pick up as a cold front passes and there's a chance for some morning showers. The showers should be widely scattered but a few rain drops are certainly possible.

Friday will be breezy with winds sustained between 10 and 20 mph with gusts up to 30mph not to be ruled out.

Friday night should be a great night for UConn to play vs. Georgia St. Fair weather and nice temps....but bring a sweatshirt as the temps will fall quickly during the battle!

We'll cool things down to seasonal highs in the upper 50s this weekend with a mix of clouds and sunshine.
