Sunday Evening Weather Blog

As expected winds today weren't quiet as strong as what we saw yesterday, with gusts between 25-35 mph.

Tonight temperatures will fall back to the teens and 20s with mostly cloudy conditions.

Things will remain quiet locally as we begin the week. A major winter snowstorm looks to miss New England with heavy snow expected from Kansas to Washington DC.

Winter alerts stretch from the plains to the Atlantic Coastline.

While we may be getting missed by a majority of the snowstorms, we will not get missed by the chilly air. Temperatures will remain slightly colder-than-average for early January, ranging from the 10's to the 20's.

Wind speeds will also go back up between Tuesday and Thursday with wind gusts between 30-40 mph.

This will make it feel even colder with wind chill values between 0° and 15° Tuesday afternoon.

It will also be a chilly start to the day on Wednesday with wind chill values between -10° and 5°. The winter jacket will definitely be needed this week, stay warm!
