Tuesday Weather Blog

We are off to a wintry start this morning with a period of snow working across the state. Temps are much milder than yesterday with temps in the 20s and 30s.

Cold road surfaces have lead to slippery travel reports this morning. Partly sunny skies will develop quickly and temps will move up in the middle to upper 30s. Regional travel improves by midday, except for northern New England and Maine.

Tomorrow looks great for travel and spending time with family and friends. Dry roads and bright sunshine is expected tomorrow, Thursday and Friday.

Total accumulations

If you are traveling Christmas Eve expect a more significant snowfall across parts of northern New England with winter weather advisories and winter storm warnings posted for portions of Vermont and Maine.

Sunshine is expected for Christmas Day across southern New England with highs in the 30s. Warmer temperatures are on the horizon and the 40-degree weather will soon return.
