A Cold Weekend Ahead

Saturday Weather Blog

Light snow will end Saturday morning as a sharply colder air mass moves in behind that system. Watch for slick spots and black ice on untreated roadways through this morning as light snow ends by lunchtime.

Northwest winds will gust up to 25 miles per hour this afternoon, which will lead to wind chills in the 10s and 20s by Saturday afternoon and evening. By Sunday morning, feels like temperatures will be near 0! Areas in higher elevations will likely feel closer to -10.

Sunday is sunny and blustery as winds gradually calm through the day. Temperatures will drop into the single digits for many on Monday morning before we slowly warm back to near average ahead of our next precipitation chance. Depending on temperatures, we could be tracking a rain/snow mixture through Christmas Eve.

After Christmas and the start of Hanukkah, temperatures will continue to rise. By the last weekend of 2024, highs will be well into the 40s, approaching 50.
