We had a few sprinkles early this morning, but now we are looking at abundant sunshine with gusty winds. Temperatures will be 10-15 degrees above normal.

With dry, mild, and again breezy conditions there will be an elevated fire danger.

Tuesday and Wednesday will remain fair and mild with highs near 60.

Our next storm will approach Wednesday Night and Thursday. A period of rain is almost a certainty with a chance for some downpours or locally heavy areas of rain. We need it!

Something worth noting is that there are models that bring the chance of wet snow in the higher terrain of the northeast. We wouldn't be surprised to see our first flakes of the season later this week.

Rainfall amounts of 0.5" to 1.0" are expected across Connecticut. This won't be enough to erase the drought but every little bit helps.

Cooler and somewhat cloudy weather will linger beyond the storm for Friday and Saturday.
