We are still monitoring the chance for a few strong to severe thunderstorms in parts of the state this evening. Inland Connecticut could see a few storms that create heavy downpours, strong winds and even some small hail.

Not everyone sees these storms since they are not widespread. The shoreline should stay mostly, if not completely dry, and everyone should dry out after the sun sets on Friday. Having the NBC Connecticut app handy would be a good idea today!

Saturday begins dry, but there is a good chance for more of the state to see showers during the midday and afternoon hours. A few thunderstorms are possible tomorrow, but they are not expected to be very strong.

While we are tracking another weekend rain chance, this one will not be a washout! Showers are possible tomorrow, but Sunday should stay dry with high temperatures in the 70s.

A small chance for rain is possible Sunday night into Monday, but a better chance for rain comes on Tuesday. We'll be drier with highs back in the 80s by the middle of the week.
