The weather set up that has produced all of the wind over the last several days is finally changing and waning. The stiff winds this morning will ease and become more livable. Sunny skies will prevail today and the temps will respond into the upper 30s.

Since Tuesday, daily wind gusts across Connecticut have been ranging between 40 and 45 miles per hour. Friday will be our first break in four days, as wind gusts will be cut in half to range around 25 mph.

A major winter storm is rolling across the southern US this morning...unlike many storms, this one will NOT curve and come up north. We barely get grazed tomorrow morning.

We will get some light snow out of it, coating the ground briefly on Saturday with about 1" possible. As always, drive and move safely whenever it snows during winter.
