Thursday Weather Blog

Today will be pretty unsettled into the middle of the afternoon. Occasional showers, downpour and even a few thunderstorms. Some partial clearing is possible (especially in western CT) later this afternoon or this evening.

Overnight tonight, another wave of rainfall is predicted to develop in the Ohio Valley and move east. Showers and some heavier rain may clip southern sections of the state. Cloudiness will hang around in the morning, but it looks nice in the afternoon and evening.

Inland it should remain dry tonight and the clearing may be quicker Friday morning.

This leaves us with a very nice Opening Night for the Hartford Yard Goats! Fair with mild temps!

The overall weather pattern is still active and unsettled so more rain is likely on Saturday. Rain and cool temperatures in the 40s will make it pretty rough to be outside.

Then we look to stay chilly as we move into the first full week of April.

The last 30 hours have been prolific as far as tornado activity and resulting destruction. Energy from the Jet Stream, moisture from the Gulf of Mexico and a stalled frontal boundary creates havoc. This pattern is stuck for now and may lead yo historic flooding in the Mississippi River Valley.
