Another chilly night is on the way across Connecticut with morning lows in the 30s in many towns to start the day Saturday.

The big story over the coming days will be an impressive warming trend with a large ridge of high pressure building in. On Saturday highs will reach the 70s in most towns with a light sea breeze keeping it slightly cooler at the shore.

Temperatures will warm even more by Monday and Tuesday with temperatures approaching 80 degrees inland both Monday and Tuesday. The record high temperatures for Monday and Tuesday in the Hartford Area are 82 degrees and 85 degrees, respectively. Monday's record is most vulnerable.

A cold front approaches Thursday with a few showers and cooler but seasonable weather for the end of next week.
