Light freezing rain is possible for much of the state through Saturday morning--especially around daybreak temperatures will be cold enough in many towns to produce a bit of light icing on untreated surface. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for most of Connecticut away from the Long Island Sound.
A light glaze of ice is possible through Saturday morning, which is not enough to knock out power lines or anything like that, but it is enough to create slick spots on the ground. Use caution on the roads.

If you're planning to leave Saturday morning for the Wasabi Fenway Bowl, there is a potential for a light glaze of ice through most of Connecticut and Massachusetts for your drive. Boston itself will likely just see scattered rain showers through the game.
More showers are expected into Sunday morning, and we're even tracking some heavy rain possible into Monday morning. Temperatures will rise and remain mild through the end of 2024.
