A storm moving in from the southwest will produce periods of rain on Friday and Friday night. Some of the rain may be heavy which may lead to a flood threat.

Model data supports another 1"-3" of rain, possibly more. This will lead to more poor drainage and street flooding. We will monitor smaller rivers and streams as well.

Fortunately, this rain appears to move out by the time Mother's Day weekend arrives.

Inland Connecticut will stay a bit cloudier on Saturday, then clear nicely Mother's Day. The shoreline will be clearer earlier Saturday, and will be just as pleasant on Sunday.
