Sunday Evening Weather Blog

Staying cloudy through this evening with temperatures falling back to the upper 30s and low 40s across the state.

It's expected to be another mild afternoon tomorrow with mostly sunny skies and highs returning to the mid 60s.

With dry, mild, and again breezy conditions there will be an elevated fire danger.

Winds are expected to gust between 20-25 mph during the afternoon.

Tuesday and Wednesday will remain fair and mild with highs near 60.

Our next storm will approach Wednesday Night and Thursday. A period of rain is almost a certainty with a chance for some downpours or locally heavy areas of rain. We need it!

Rainfall amounts of 0.5" to 1.0" are expected across Connecticut. This won't be enough to erase the drought but every little bit helps.

Cooler and somewhat cloudy weather will linger beyond the storm for Friday and Saturday.
