We started one of the busiest travel days of the year wit patches of black ice and heavy frost. Skies will be fair today with a blend of sunshine and clouds. Highs will be slightly above average with highs 48-54 degrees.
Roads will be dry across the region today with no weather issues in your way. The volume of traffic and the setting sun will be two issues to slow you down.

Tomorrow is a different story with periods of rain, heavy at times in southern New England, the Tri-State, and Mid-Atlantic states...and accumulating snow in central and northern New England. Highest elevations will see the highest snow totals. Road conditions will become hazardous by midday if you're heading north.
Rain will develop across the state Thanksgiving morning. While most of the state will see rain a few towns in Litchfield County may be cold enough for a bit of wet snow on Thanksgiving.
Farther north in the high terrain of central and northern New England we are expecting a more significant winter storm with accumulating snow particularly across the high terrain.
Behind the holiday system, we're expecting a big temperature change as we head into the first week of December with colder than normal weather across the eastern half of the country.
