We saw impressive storms Saturday across Connecticut, some knocking out power and pushing over trees. The wind gusted to 59 miles per hour at Bradley International Airport, while there were thousands of power outages.

Overnight, showers and thunderstorms will wind down. A lingering thunderstorm will continue to be possible, followed by pockets of rain showers through dawn.

The next four days will be rather unsettled with periodic rain. Some of the rain could be heavy on Monday and Tuesday.

Widespread rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches appear likely for much of the Northeast, possibly up to 3" in a few spots. This will have our rivers running at elevated levels.

Our weather will clear Thursday and become drier and warmer through Mother's Day weekend.
