Saturday Morning Weather Blog

It's a chilly start this morning with temps in the low to mid 20s across the state. While those temps aren't overly cold for this time of year, the wind is making it feel more like the teens to 20s statewide.

Wind gusts are expected to increase throughout the day, between 25-35 mph.

Highs today will be in the low to mid 30s but again feeling like the 20s. Don't forget the jacket as you're headed out the door!

You also might see a few isolated snow showers moving in from the Great Lakes, especially for areas west of Hartford.

Thing will remain quiet locally as we begin next week. A major winter snowstorm looks to miss New England with heavy snow expected from Kansas to Washington DC.

While we may be getting missed by a majority of the snowstorms, we will not get missed by the chilly air. Temperatures will remain slightly colder-than-average for early January, ranging from the 10's to the 20's.
