A cold front will move through Connecticut Friday night with cooler temperatures for Saturday. Abundant sunshine is expected with temperatures pretty close to normal for early November.

With dry conditions continuing the fire danger remains high again Saturday. A Red Flag Warning remains in effect for the state.

Saturday night will be cold with temperatures in the 20s and 30s by the time you wake up Sunday morning. A Freeze Watch has been issued for the shoreline as temperatures in the New Haven area have yet to dip below freezing this year.

Temperatures will climb a bit by Sunday afternoon and especially Monday.

We have two chances for rain in the next ten days, and we really need it. One is Sunday night into Monday morning, and another decent chance Thursday. We will see if these weather systems can produce needed rain and alleviate or dry conditions and fire danger.
