A Chance for Rain Ahead

Wednesday Weather Blog

Our incredible stretch of dry, sunny and warm weather will come to an end. A large offshore storm will bring clouds and a chance for showers over the coming days.

Temperatures will be on the cool side across eastern Connecticut Thursday with thicker clouds and a chance for showers. Farther west, where more sunshine is expected, temperatures will approach 80 degrees.

The forecast is a bit challenging for Friday and Saturday. The exact track of a slow-moving coastal storm will determine how much rain we get. Right now we're expecting at least some rain both days but the specific timing and amounts remain uncertain.

The storm should begin to pull away on Sunday which will mean drier weather and some breaks of sunshine especially by afternoon.
