Thursday morning will start out dry with temps returning to the mid 70s by the afternoon. Rain chances however will increase throughout the day with things becoming soggy for Friday.

The latest information shows a rising chance of pouring rain on Friday. The EURO model is showing the rain developing overnight Thursday and continuing through Friday.

Model data supports another 1"-3" of rain, possibly more. This will lead to more poor drainage and street flooding. We will monitor smaller rivers and streams as well.

Fortunately, this rain appears to move out by the time Mother's Day weekend arrives.

Inland Connecticut will stay a bit cloudier on Saturday, then clear nicely Mother's Day. The shoreline will be clearer earlier Saturday, and will be just as pleasant on Sunday.
