We had an incredible sunrise this morning here was the view from New London!
Temps started off in the upper 20s to upper 30s across the state. We've made progress since earlier today and we're expecting temps to warm into the low 60s, close to 10° above average for mid November. We'll also clear out the clouds with more sunshine this afternoon.

Winds this afternoon will begin to pick up, with gust up to 25 mph possible.
Thanks to dry conditions, warmer temps, and higher winds a Red Flag Warning has been issued for all of the state.
By Saturday the sun will continue but the wind will be even stronger as we're sandwiched between an offshore storm and an area of high pressure near the Great Lakes.
Winds are expected to gust between 25-35 mph throughout the day.
We'll also see VERY dry air move into the state with relative humidity values between 15% - 20%.
Unfortunately, no significant rain is expected over the coming days.
With the dry conditions continuing northwestern portions of the state have been placed under severe drought.
Tropics Update
Local
Tropical Storm Sara is expected to bring catastrophic flooding to portions of Central America with and expected 10 to 20 inches of rainfall.
Still plenty to work out but models have been suggesting the system eventually move to the W/NW and perhaps end up in the Gulf of Mexico. Something to watch for our friends down south but no impacts are expected here locally.
There are now only three names left on the named storm list. The hurricane season lasts for 15 more days.
