It's feeling like Fall out there this morning! We woke up with morning lows in the 40s and 50s across CT.

The dry weather pattern will continue today. Expect a mix of clouds and sun as a front dissipates to our west. Afternoon highs will reach the upper 60s to about 70 degrees later this afternoon.

Heading into Thursday and Friday, temperatures are expected to climb above average into the mid 70s with more sunshine.

We'll be keeping an eye on the weekend, a few showers look possible for early Saturday. At this point, the bulk of the showers could stay to our north as a system quickly moves through the northeast. An early shower is likely before a return to move sunshine.

We'll keep the sunshine going on Sunday with seasonal temps near 70. The risk of rain will be going back up for Monday as another from is expected to move through the region.

Right now most of the rain looks to occur for the first half of the day, then trending drier Monday night and into Tuesday.

Behind Monday's cold front, temperatures look to dip below average with highs cooling to the mid-60s.


The tropics remain active. Several areas are being watched for possible development. Unfortunately, one of those areas could be along the Gulf of Mexico over the next 7 days.

Kirk is now a hurricane and is expected to strengthen into a major hurricane but is also expected to stay out to sea through at least the end of the week.

As we get set to close out the month of September, fall foliage is beginning to pop across the state. Some peak is already being observed in the mountains in northern New England.
