Thursday Evening Weather Blog
Happy Friday-Eve! Keep grabbing that thick jacket, hat, scarves, and winter gloves as you step outside. We have one more night of gusty winds, before it relaxes on Friday.
A wind advisory remains intact until 1 a.m. tonight. After midnight, you probably won't hear the wind outside as much as previous nights.

It will continue to feel colder than the air temperature suggests, between 5 and 15 degrees in most towns and cities through dawn Friday. Dress appropriately!
Since Tuesday, daily wind gusts across Connecticut have been ranging between 40 and 45 miles per hour. Friday will be our first break in four days, as wind gusts will be cut in half to range around 25 mph.
While the wind relaxes on Friday, the temperatures also rise to near 40 degrees. It will be our warmest day in a week! The sky will be mainly sunny before a few evening clouds roll across region.
Our next chance of snow will arrive this Saturday morning, but it won't amount to much. A large and powerful winter storm will hit cities like Nashville and Atlanta, but miss us to the south. We will get some light snow out of it, coating the ground briefly on Saturday. As always, drive and move safely whenever it snows during winter.
