After a rainy Tuesday we'll get a nice break for Wednesday. As expected, rain totals were generally 1/4" or less across the state. Behind the storm partly sunny skies are expected for the big travel day leading up to Thanksgiving.

Wednesday's tranquil weather will not just be confined to Connecticut. Pleasant weather and comfortable temperatures will be found across New England and the northeast.
Rain will develop across the state Thanksgiving morning. While most of the state will see rain a few towns in Litchfield County may be cold enough for a bit of wet snow on Thanksgiving. We'll have to watch any wobbles in the storm's track but for the time being we're not expecting any significant accumulation.
Farther north in the high terrain of central and northern New England we are expecting a more significant winter storm with accumulating snow particularly across the high terrain.
Behind the holiday system, we're expecting a big temperature change as we head into the first week of December with colder than normal weather across the eastern half of the country.
