Back-to-back record heat. Thursday we saw temperatures reach 84° in Hartford, yesterday we saw 84° again! Friday in Bridgeport the old record of 71° was demolished with temps 10 degrees warmer, reaching 81°. Both cities not only broke the daily records but also came in with the warmest all-time temperature record for the month of November!

While there is no longer a red flag warning, an elevated fire danger will remain in place this weekend. Most fires start because of human error, so let's be extra careful out there.

Seasonable high temperatures are expected this weekend. Saturday afternoon we'll see mostly sunny skies and temperatures around 57°.

The cooler air settling in for the weekend will mean chilly and frosty nights/mornings. A frost advisory has been posted for the shoreline for Sunday morning.

Temperatures will be a bit cooler for Sunday and Monday afternoons with highs in the mid-50s. We will see another warm-up for the middle of next week with temps returning to the mid-70s by Wednesday. Wednesday's record high temperature in the Hartford area is 76 degrees.

Our dry stretch will continue with no widespread rainfall expected for the week ahead. There is some hope for some showers by the end of next weekend. We'll keep you posted.

Daylight saving time comes to an end tonight. Get ready for a sunrise on Sunday at 6:26 AM and a sunset at 4:41 PM.

The tropics have become a little more active with three areas of possible development.

None pose a risk to CT but another named storm formed this morning and brought the number of named storms to 16 for the season! Subtropical storm Patty formed well out in the Atlantic and will continue to move out to sea. We're already running above the 14-average named storms for the season.
