Storms dump hail on several towns across Connecticut

A round of severe thunderstorms brought gusty winds and dropped hail on several towns across Connecticut Monday afternoon.

Severe thunderstorm warnings were issued for multiple counties, but have since expired.

Earlier flash flood warnings have also expired.

The storms have dumped hail in parts of the state.

Hail was reported in East Hartland, Simsbury, New Britain, down to Wallingford, North Branford and Guilford.

A flash flood warning was issued for Tolland County until 7:15 p.m. but has since expired.

The storms come on a warm, humid day with high temperatures in the 80s.

Tuesday will be sunny with more storm chances. Highs will be in the upper 80s.

More storms are possible Wednesday with highs near 90.
