Warm temperatures on Monday broke a record for heat.

The record was 82 degrees, set in in Windsor Locks in 1920. The temperature reached 86 at Bradley Airport Monday afternoon. It is the warmest temperature ever reached in Connecticut this late in the year, according to StormTracker Chief Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan.

The warmth will continue on Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs will be in the 80s on Tuesday and upper 70s on Wednesday.

A dry front will go by Thursday and temperatures will cool off for the second half of the workweek and into the weekend. Highs Thursday through Sunday will be in the 60s.
