Frigid wind chills ahead for the week

NBCUniversal Media, LLC

After a coating of snow made things slick across parts of Connecticut Monday, we are now bracing for some frigid temperatures.

Tuesday will be windy with "feels like" temperatures in the single digits in the morning.

Though we will see fair weather for most of the week, the wind and cold temperatures will make it uncomfortable throughout the state.

The governor has activated the severe cold weather protocol from 6 p.m. Monday through noon on Thursday.

Our StormTracker meteorologists are tracking a storm threat for Saturday, however, it's still too early to determine what that could look like.
